VanishPad ("the App") is a minimalist macOS notepad designed for ephemeral writing. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. The short version: VanishPad does not collect, store, transmit, or access any personal data.

VanishPad is intentionally built to avoid storing or transmitting user data. All text written in the App exists only in memory (RAM) and is automatically erased based on the user's chosen erase mode. No information is ever written to disk, synced to the cloud, or sent over the network.

VanishPad does not collect, store, or process any personal information. This includes, but is not limited to:

4. Ephemeral Data Behavior

All text entered into VanishPad exists only temporarily and only in volatile memory (RAM). Data is not saved to disk, backed up, or cached.

Your text is automatically erased based on the erase mode you select, including:

  • •Idle Wipe
  • •Character Limit
  • •On Blur (window unfocus)

When the App is closed, all text is immediately and permanently lost.

5. No Storage on Device

The App does not:

  • •Write user text or metadata to persistent storage
  • •Create backup files
  • •Store data in system folders
  • •Access external files

There is no digital footprint left behind.

6. Permissions

VanishPad requires no special system permissions.

It does not request access to:

  • •Location

The App runs inside the macOS sandbox for security and isolation.

7. Third-Party Services

VanishPad uses no third-party services.

No data is shared with external providers, advertisers, analytics companies, or cloud platforms.

8. Children's Privacy

VanishPad does not collect any data from users of any age. The App is safe for all audiences since it does not store or transmit information.

9. Changes to This Policy

If the Privacy Policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on the official VanishPad website. The App itself never auto-updates privacy-related behavior.
